My brother, Dr. Michael L. Webb Jr., and myself working on Ironman athletes in the ART treatment tent a few days before the race.

My brother and I with Dr. Joseph Maroon. He’s Head Neurosurgeon at UPMC and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Neurosurgeon. Dr. Maroon completed the race – his fourth time completing at Kona.

We also assisted Hines Ward of Pittsburgh Steelers fame in T2, which is the transition from the bike to the run.  The woman he’s hugging in the green shirt is his coach, 8-time Ironman World Champion, Paula Newby-Fraser.

My brother and I with Mirinda Carfrae,  2013 World Ironman Champion (she also set a course record in this race), and her fiancé, Tim O’Donnell, who was the top US Men’s finisher placing 5th.
